My wife and I were looking for a pontoon boat and came across Chesdin Boat Sales. Although they were over an hour away, we paid them a visit. The day we went, we discovered most of the staff was at a booth at the National Capital Boat show in Dulles. We spoke with "John" at their store and were so impressed with his customer service attitude that we went to the boat show. We found their booth first, looked at what they had to offer and then walked the floor, looking at boats and speaking with other dealers. We went back to the Chesdin display and spoke with Scott, the owner. He had invited a manufacturer rep to the boat show and between the two of them they answered our questions and really gave us a quick 101 on boats and current pontoon technology. We had a price point in mind and asked them to give us their "best price" in that range. We took this information back around to the other displays at the show and compared price, value / quality and attitude (I refuse to do business with someone who's a jerk, regardless of the deal they offer). Chesdin was everything we were looking for in all categories. We ordered a boat in March and took delivery a few months later. We have been happy with the process, delivery and after sales support. We would do business with Scott again and very well may do so in a few years using our new boat as a trade-in. All reactions:
